Flirt Nandina

Nandina domestica ‘Murasaki’

DiamondLawnCare

Description

Fiery foliage and rich color make the Flirt™ Nandina an excellent landscape plant, drawing attention from focal point plant beds to borders along your driveway.

In summer, the cooling blue-green colored leaves are welcoming and lush. With the Flirt™ Nandina, you get a rich cascade of season-to-season color…from the warmer months to blazing autumn days. Even better is the fact that it’s drought-tolerant and unbelievably adaptable to tough conditions.

Planting

Plant your Nandina in an area that receives full to partial sunlight (a minimum of 4 hours of sunlight daily) and well-drained soil. Once you’ve selected your location, dig a hole that’s large enough to accommodate your shrub’s root ball, place your shrub, and water the surrounding soil.

Watering

Let your soil dry to the touch down to about 2 inches in between waterings. Once your soil is dry, give your Nandina a deep watering at the base.

Fertilizing

Fertilize your Nandina at the beginning of every spring and in the middle of summer with an acidic fertilizer.
